Delicious

I have worked with delicious before. I try to like it and will try it again. I am so used to having my favorites organized in folders. When I go into delicious those tags seem so unruly! I'll just have to get over it!

Week 3, Thing 7

Web 2.0 - Another Piece of the Technology puzzle

When I learn new technology skills or learn to use new tools, I always experience a period of frustration as I try those new skills. That time of frustration quickly dissolves as success creates excitement. I was frustrated tonight as I tried to remember log-ins to new accounts and what email addresses were used with which accounts. All the frustrations disappeared as I better organized myself and conquered new tools. I love learning new things! Creating my avatar was fun and I was very excited to see my picture successfully uploaded to my blog.

Ahh....Another successful night!

Week 3, Thing 5

Well, as you can see, this is not a library but what an awesome sight to see and hear. In August, I was lucky enough to take an Alaskan cruise. I was very impressed. I think it was one of the best vacations I have taken. I am sure I caught this photo quite by accident. I actually captured the glacier as it "calved" an iceberg. I don't know if you have been to a glacier but I wasn't anticipating the noise. As ice quakes and calving ocurred it sounded much like a thunderstorm. What an experience.

Week 1, Thing 2

7 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners

Habit 2 , accepting responsibility for my own learning is easy for me. Although I have attended numerous hours of professional development I am basically self-taught. Habit 7, teaching and mentoring others is a major part of my job and it comes naturally to me. I do find that teaching others solidifies new learning.

Experiencing Web 2.0

I am excited about experiencing tools for Web 2.0. This blog is a good start.
